How to calculate your target heart rate for cardiovascular exercises

June 20th, 2009 healthiq No comments

You should do cardiovascular exercises for 20 minutes per day

You should do cardiovascular exercises for 20 minutes per day

Are you doing Cardiovascular/Aerobic Exercises? 20 minutes of aerobic exercise per day is recommended by Dr Oz.

The hard part is to calculate your target heart rate. It’s a pretty simple formula:

Subtract your age from 220 and multiply the result by “0.80″. Voilà, you just calculated your target heart rate.

If you reach your target heart rate too fast, you should work on your fitness.

Make sure to read Dr Oz’s checklist and follow his guideline closely. You can find his checklist here.

Dr. Oz Diet Urges ‘Staying hungry is the key’

Dr Oz Diet - Stay Hungry

Dr Oz Diet - Stay Hungry

Drink 1000 bottles of per day and eat 30% less calories and you be the healthiest person you could ever be. That was the introduction of the World Science Festival, last year.

Resveratrol can help you to do the first part and a calorie restriction diet to do the latter one.

Nearly two decades ago, a group of monkeys have been put on a diet. By now it is becoming very clear that the monkeys do not suffer any side effects – yet they even look younger and healthier and have a lower rate of heart diseases than the well-fed monkey.

So, staying hungry makes you become healthier. But how would that be possible in a society of people who love to eat with a passion and are becoming angry if they feel hungry? Resveratrol can help, but you still have to change your eating habits!

Dr Oz, “doctor of america”, has published several books. One of it “YOU:On a diet”, which can help you to change you eating habits.  Read my book review of Dr Oz’s ‘YOU on a diet’. You can find a list of all books by Dr Oz here.
